Andaira receives a grant for integration into Maia, a second-degree cooperative.
At Andaira we are very pleased to share some great news: we have received a subsidy from the Madrid City Council, in the framework of the public call for the promotion and development of the social economy in 2024, in order to carry out the integration of five co-operatives into Maia, a second-tier co-operative.
This project, aligned with the principle of inter-cooperation, search for strengthen the social economy ecosystem in Madrid, generating synergies between entities that share values and strategic objectives.. Thanks to this support, we will be able to consolidate the integration of the cooperatives Altekio, Dabne, Andecha, Freepress and Idealoga in Maia, thus strengthening their structure, governance model and capacity to generate impact.
Why is this integration important?
Second-degree cooperatives allow optimise resources, improving production processes y fostering strategic collaboration between social economy organisations. The incorporation of these five cooperatives in Maia not only strengthens the activity of each of them, but also boosts the development of shared infrastructures and services for the sector.
At Maia, we manage the Collaboratory, a collaborative work space where cooperatives and social organisations find an environment conducive to their growth and consolidation. With this support, we will be able to continue promoting new services and projects for the Social Economy in Madrid.
Commitment to inter-cooperation
This grant, which amounts to 29.591,76 €, allows us to continue our commitment to an economic model based on collaboration and sustainability. In the coming months, we will continue to work on the development of new growth strategies, ensuring that this integration process generates a real and lasting impact on our cooperatives and the sector.
