Launching DEMOS, an election polling tool
Andaira, together with the cooperatives Taraceas y Qiteria, has launched DEMOS, a research service applied to electoral strategy. DEMOS is aimed at political groupings in cities that want to invest in local knowledge about their local reality, providing them with survey toolsThe following are some of the main issues: surveys to find out the attitudes and opinions of citizens, focus groups to test electoral strategies.
The former will make it possible to a snapshot of citizen opinion on municipal politics, The survey also provides information on voting intentions for the next elections, the degree of knowledge and appreciation of the different candidates, the profile of the voters and the problems of the municipality that are of concern to them.
For their part, focus groups help to to test the campaign on the motivations and expectations of different voter profiles. In addition to an assessment of the candidates and programme, they allow for proposals to optimise the election campaign and the communication strategy.
These tools are complemented by a situated knowledge approach and a multidisciplinary team with experience in quantitative, qualitative and participatory methodologies.
