A service to support Madrid's associative network
Andaira is once again offering the comprehensive advisory service for associations, Andaira provides consultancy services for the Directorate General for Citizen Participation of the Madrid City Council. Since 2011 Andaira has been carrying out this work which provides legal, tax, accounting, or labour information to associations in Madrid, as well as to people interested in setting up one. The service is free and in person, by appointment.
“Many of the associations that come to the service are involved in neighbourhood participation, cultural activities, leisure, care, sports or children's activities,” explains Montserrat Matamala, from Andaira. What kind of information is required in these consultancies? “The majority of the organisations that come to the service are for see how to set up an association and start their project”, Matamala replies. “Associations that are already up and running usually consult us when considering an economic activity within the association, and we inform them of the tax obligations involved”, he adds. A necessary service, in short, whose development is seen by those in charge as very positive and exciting.
