San Sebastián de los Reyes Town Council is committed to strengthening the emotional and social skills of secondary school students
Andaira, through the group Tangent together with the Heliconia and Garúa Cooperatives, coordinates the Support Programme for the strengthening and development of School Coexistence, emotional and social, tolerant and egalitarian in the Municipality's Institutes, with the objective of improving social and emotional skills.
The intervention is part of the need detected in many educational centres where it is considered important to improving interpersonal relations through emotional management, focusing on communication skills and the care of relationships in order to favour an improvement in the emotional management and self-image of the participating students.
To this end, the following will be carried out training sessions throughout the school year to the 1stESO courses, following their process and evolution during all these months, with a practical and attractive methodology that favours the participation and reflection of the students.
Among the contents that will be worked on are the conflict resolution, assertiveness and communicative styles, emotional management and cognitive processes, anxiety and relaxation, self-esteem, roles and gender stereotypes, etc.
