In collaboration with the Confederación Autismo España we are developing a study with the aim of To advance in the knowledge of the situation of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Spain.
This research aims to gain in-depth knowledge of the key factors and resources that have a positive impact on the success and inclusion of students with ASD in the different educational stages. It also identifies the barriers that hinder access to quality education for this group.
Methodologically this study will be developed through:
- Statewide survey of primary and secondary school students with ASD and their families.
- State-wide survey of school professionals.
- Nominal groups with professionals from the different educational modalities that cater for students with ASD, taking into account the different regional realities.
From the analysis of the results, we hope to systematise a series of recommendations and good teaching practices for students with ASD and thus improve their future educational and employment prospects.
