Through Tangente, we participate in SEAS, a project promoted by the Madrid City Council together with seven other partners: Dynamia, Incubator for Citizen Initiatives, Ecooo, All for Praxis, Employment Agency y Action Against Hunger.
MARES was one of the 18 projects selected from more than 300 proposals in the call for proposals of the The European Commission's Urban Innovative Actions initiative, The aim of the project is to finance innovative urban solutions
MARES is a project that aims to promoting new models of economic development in the city they believe quality employment, capable of generating opportunities for territories, people and groups which historically in Madrid have been excluded from the political stakes.
This project to favour another model of development has as its main elements four districts in the South of Madrid [Vallecas, Villaverde, Vicálvaro and Centro] in which economic initiatives will be developed in four sectors: mobility, feeding, recycling, energy y social -hence the acronym that gives the project its name, MARES.
